Avant Vermont Dance uses movement to re-imagine community and engage the public in meaningful art-making through cultivating live dance in Southern Vermont. 

• We create performance and collaborative opportunities for regional dancers, choreographers, artists, musicians, and organizations. 

• We imbue community spaces with vibrancy, drawing positive attention and art-focused visitors to our region. 

• We offer events with admission by donation, making events accessible to those who may otherwise face barriers to attending live performances. 

• We support our dance artists with performance stipends to acknowledge the value of their time and talent. 

• We welcome our audience to become part of the experience through our incorporation of interactive opportunities, such as art-making and movement workshops.
