Thumbelina

Thumbelina premiered in 2021. It was performed in White River Junction, VT (2024) and Norwich, VT (2025) as part of The Junction Dance Festival, and was presented in Springfield, VT (2021, 2024), Chester, VT (2021), and Brattleboro, VT (2024). 

Thumbelina is an original story ballet created by choreographer and AVD co-director Ashley Hensel-Browning. It features a cast of 10 dancers, a narrated musical setting by Vermont composer Evan Premo of Scrag Mountain Music, and sets and props by Vermont artists Mark Yuengling, Evie Lovett, and Elizabeth Billings.
